    Dear Anglers,
After walking my dogs along the footpath running behind the fishing lakes yesterday, one of them was taken seriously ill and is currently at the vets. It is suspected that she has ingested human excrement, possibly containing cannabis. I appreciate you may be taken short when fishing but if you are, please bag it and throw it…after all, that’s what responsible dog owners do. That way, we can keep this beautiful area safe for everyone, including our four legged friends. Thank you

Just renewed my permit and noticed that there is no info on match dates on the Lake complex.

    Are these available anywhere?

There’s a large fallen branch in Jubilee between pegs 58 and 59. I’m concerned that someone is going to fish these pegs and leave fish snagged up.

Hi just a quick 1 on the rubbish situation, having picked up a carrier bag full of other peoples rubbish from long lake on many occasions i think its a joke that some ruin what could be a lovely venue for everyone to enjoy for the sake of being too lazy to pop it into a bag which to be honest most of us take anyway, it encourages rats which can and will become a major problem around the lake, could the club not provide a bin in the car park which would help with the problem, just a thought!!!! 🎣

Hi anglers I would like to say on visiting the venue on good Friday it was great to see a a full venue and see a range of anglers from, carping, match, and pleasure, as you know we are a small club and need all of your support including positive feed back we on the committee and a few others need you guys to help police and manage the venues as well from behaviour and bloody litter. I’m gutted to see after a bank holiday weekend a few cannot be bothered to take care of your lakes please please help if you bring it take it home.

Hi, I fished jubilee on Sat 5 March and I was shocked by the amount of rubbish around the lakes from plastic bottles to old fishing line just thrown in the hedges.I actually picked 2lots of line which had been wrapped up in a ball and thrown away in trees around the margins! I filled a plastic carrier bag up with rubbish but I could of easily filled a black bin liner up.I have been a member for 8years but I’m thinking of not renewing my membership this year because obviously some people just don’t appreciate just how fantastic these lakes are! Maybe a rule could be put in place where every angler needs to have a plastic bag with them at all times to take their rubbish home with them, it’s not hard to do!!

Hi, I fished Jubilee lake on Sat 5th March and I was shocked by the amount of rubbish around the lake, from plastic bottles to lots of old fishing line just thrown in the hedges. I actually picked 2 separate lots of line up which someone had wrapped up in a ball and thrown away! I picked enough rubbish up to fill a plastic carrier bag which I took home with me but I could of easily filled a black bin liner up! As much as I love fishing the complex and have been a member for 8years I’m thinking of not renewing my licence this year because obviously some anglers just don’t appreciate what they have with these fantastic lakes! Maybe a rule could be put in place where every angler needs to have a plastic bag with them at all times to take their rubbish home with them, it’s not hard to do!!
